Ok not sure if this has been said b4 cuz i cudnt find it.
i seem to know alot is about .bin & .cue ect but 4 example lets say i owned a copy of a game such as battlefield 2 ( only an example) how would i go about turning it into a bin file?

If you have a .bin but no.cue download cueator which will make a .cue for you.

JEBUS - Download UltraISO. Install, buy, register. Then, put the Battlefield CD into the drive, and copy all the files onto the new CD image (the empty bit on the right), and then go File - Save As and select .bin/.cue as the file type for saving. Hope that’s clear - it’s a bit brief. You should be able to work it out from that though.

Diana Cda - Cueator is a programme which makes .cue files for .bin files. If you have a .bin file which you want to burn, but no .cue for it, that’s how to solve the problem.

All the best,

Thanks so much for the 2 explanations! Finally something more clear. I guess it’s not as widely used as before or I’d not found the right forum, but googling over and over for multiple variations of “create-bin” didn’t yield any actual answer such as this. Many response said, use _this_ to create BINs. I demoed about 3 different programs over the weekend and not intuitive. I’ll try this one.

Thanks once again. Di shockedD

I have 3 avi files and 3 KVCD movies in Bin/Cue format. My question is this:

Is it possible to burn all 6 movies onto one DVD-R for playback on my Philips DivX DVD Player. It’s a DVP642, which I don’t think is pertinent, but it may well be. (P.S. Size wise, they will all fit onto a DVD-R)

I just figured I may have to burn the Bin/Cue files onto seperate CD-R’s..

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Download Daemon Tools from www.daemon-tools.cc. Mount the images to 3 seperate virtual drives. Download UltraISO, buy it and register it. Add all of the data from the 3 seperate image files to one place, then go File - Save as, and save it as type .bin/.cue, or .iso, or any other convenient image format. Then, burn that. That should do it, although I’m not sure about playability; anyone wants to add anything, feel free.

I’m off now until Thursday evening, and then again on Friday evening until the end of August. Have great summers, everyone in this hemisphere, and great winters everyone else.

All the best,
bigFoot

To Darkdenizen, you can use several converters. There is the most popular ones: WinAvi and WinMpg, although for my money, WinAvi is much better than WinMpg. Also there is the new Windows converter based on the new Window Media Centre Edition (XP) which only records your shows in dvr-ms format and is a huge file size even at Poor setting ie. 1.55 GB for an hour show, the Digital Media Converter v2.55. It converts not only the dvr-ms, but also avi, mpg and the usual bunch of formats.

You might as well get this last one because it does everything and only costs a bit more than the others ie. $30 vs $40 US. It takes something like 12 hours to convert from dvr-ms, but I haven’t tried it yet for avi or mpg files, though I am sure that it will take much much less time for those file formats ie. 2-4 hours. You can find the DMC at Deskshare.com. I recommend getting the CD too, because I have had a lot of problems with programs when you only get the downloadable version. It costs an extra $12.99 US, but it is worth it in the long run.

Hope this helps, Darkdenizen. Good luck.

Hi,

I’m a bit of a beginner at al of this stuff. THe help I’m after is that I have recently bought an external hard drive player called a “Freecom " box. It has a 160gig hard drive and you are able to plug it into a TV and it will play films direct from the box as it has all the software built in. Unfortunately I don’t know how to change .bin, .iso or .rar files into .avi or .mpg. This is causing a huge amount of frustration as I have got a number of films I can’t play. Anyone out there with the knowledge to help. Thanks

just to let you all know...

If you download a movie in .bin .cue format... and u anna burn it on one cd that plays on any dvd player... use Alcohol 120% to burn

Burn it as an image file and a 800MB file will now be 640MB withou quality loss

so, i understand why this guy is looking for a avi - bin conervter... I’m looking for one too... damn it saves me soo much time and have a film on 1 cd-r

Just burned a film and it plays brilliantly...
running time 140 minutes - file size 810MB
.bin ofcourse

burned in 3.40 minutes
