another bin/cue files problem

actually when it comes to bin/.cue you arent burning the bin file to cd you are burning the .CUE i know because i do the same thing. when you use nero and to to burn image it doesnt even register the bin file it only picks up the .CUE file and burns that as an image to a cd which therefore can be played in ALMOST any dvd player. but good point in asking for a program to convert avi to BIN/.CUE cause i have yet to find a program that does that myself.

Ya, on a show I watch they had RatDVD on there and it looked pretty cool, but with me everything has to be fast. I’m impatient and RatDVD takes a while to compress stuff.

bigFootRegular.bin/.cue pairs don’t quite work like that, Spirit Walker. The .cue file contains instructions to the reader/burner which tells it the file structure of the information contained within the .bin file. That’s why the programmes only pick up on .cue files.
As for creating image files, DVD Decrypter (whose website appears to be down right now) converts files into ISO images, and can also convert between most file types. I’m pretty sure it does DVD ISOs and CD ISOs, rather than just the one.

actuly I figured it out I used nero smart start: dvd :burn image to disk and in “files of type” select “Image files” it supports *.cue files and burned to cd

No, I am not the person you think I am, Pants. Also, no one is telling you where you can find one of these converters because I doubt one exists. The smartest thing to do is to convert your avi into something such as mpeg format and then convert to bin/cue because I know there are avi > mpeg converters and mpeg > bin/cue converters. Or just get a DVD burner, some DVD-Rs, and dvdSanta and burn them that way. That’s what I did.

ok recently i foud a program calle ashampoo movie shrinker i put 2 gigs on a 700 mg disk but first had to convert them to svcd from avi with win avi
now just to make it clear how a bin and cue is is that now if i take my cd (that i just made with ashampoo the 2 gigs of svcd on a cdr) and use somthing like cdr win to creat a bin img of the disk it creats a cue sheet then u take the te bin and cue burn with nero thats it long complacted process for a out come that u had to do any way but its a NICE thing to do for other downloaders but the main answer to every ones question is that u first have to convert the avi to vcd or svcd then shrink it to fit on 1 disk then burn the disk then u can make the bin and cue so good luck out there have fun injoy life and some of u i know r NICE guys =p

Goof, how long did it take you to do all this though and where did you find a good avi > VCD burner? When I try to convert or compress a file it seems it will never finish because it’s so slow and im an impatient person. Thanks.

there is really only one way you can burn bin and cue files is onto 2 cd-rs. rite firstly if it is a two cd movie there will be two .cue files so insert a cd-r then load up your default buring studio (i use ashampoo 5) which is easier to use to burn cue files then when u are on ur burning rom got to burn image then burn the .cue file and it will automatically get the data from the .bin file wthout inserting the two files only burn the cue file nothing else then stick into your dvd layer and watch but it burns as a svcd so u will have to have a svcd compatiblle dvd player sorry havent worked out how to do it to dvd yet. email me with and questions you may need to ask the email is pumpkinman05@hotmail.com

Help, maybe someone has already explained it, but i have a question. I’ve downloaded a movie and it’s a bin/cue file. But when i burn it with Nero on a cd i can’t play it on my homecinema dvd-player. Can someone tell me how to burn the movie (bin/cue file) on a dvd so i can play it on my homecinema dvd-player. I read something that there is a programme wich converts the bin/cue to a vob so you can make a dvd from it. can someone please help me?

bigFootRegularYes I’ll help you. Buy the film. There.
There are P2P/File-sharing forums you can use if you want to ask questions about illegal downloading, so use them.

I don’t know if my input will help any of you, but if you really need to convert your .avi files to .cue files, you can do it with VCDGear. It will only convert you mpeg files to .cue files, so first you will need to convert them to mpeg files with WinAVI converter or whatever converter program you use. Then you can convert that to a .cue file. It may seem like a lot of trouble, but when you’re desperate for results, it’s worth it.
