If you have Nero you can right click the cue file and send it to Nero burning rom and same to cd2 after that cet a programe called absolut video splitter/joiner and place both files in the slpiter/joiner and select join from disc it’ll take about 3hrs to covert but worth the wait i think. hope this helps

If you want to convert bin or cue files to dvd or cd then get yourself nerosmart and use that it works everytime. Nerosmart is not the fastest out there but it converts just about every known file, or the other program to get hold of is dvd santa (very slow) it fits all file sizes onto a dvd.

ok answer,
Try downloading shrink and burn, it burns files onto cd and tells you what quality it will be at the end. Also try going to download.com and get sompy just add the file and it converts it’s as easy as a b c

First of all, i got lots of movies in my comp. and they are all in .avi format, but i looked everywhere to find converter from .avi to .bin and there are not converters like that. Ok so i found converter from .avi to .mpeg and my .avi movies is 699MB but when its converter into mpeg its 820MB which cant be fit on cd, even if i convert .mpeg into .bin and .cue. So my question is this:

Is there any kind of a program that converts .avi to .bin and stays the same quality and size so i can put it on my cd-r.

Thanks in Advance

Could really use some help.

Downloaded a movie. It’s split in two.

There’s 2 bin/cue files.

I gather I can’t burn them both to a CD because they won’t fit.

How do I burn them to a DVD that will be playable?

I have Nero Rom, and need to know what I open in Nero to get it happening.

Thanks in advance all. =)

Um...so, wow.
Dino, I agree with you, I’m looking for a converter, although I should correct you.

It’s the cue file you actually load into Nero to burn onto a CD, and it works with all DVD Players.

For those of you protesting that it doesn’t, you should really either go try it out, or actually do some research before you storm in and act like you know everything.

Hey, yo, Dino! I tried burning the .bin, .cue files to a Maxell CD-R pro disk by simply right-clicking and opening with Nero 7 Premium and “voila!" it burnt to a normal CDROM disk and CAN BE PLAYED with ANY stand-alone DVD Player, like the one in yo’s mother’s bedroom she plays her fav porn with!
THANKS for saving me hours of converting time from .bin to .vob and wasting expensive DVD-R disks DINO! Your a freakin' saint from GOD!

Yes Mat, it’s the .cue file that “loads” the information from the .bin file “container” and burns it all to a cdrom with four folders named, EXT, MPEGAV, SEGMENT, and VCD. I believe it’s the .avi file within the MPEGAV folder which plays on home DVD Players, much like .vob files play from within the Video_ts folder on a Movie DVD!

I found this message board very funny. One guy flipping out, and not being able to type out the whole word you. Why get all mad when someone asks a question, or from experience sees that something works? The fellow is correct. these bin files will run on any dvd player. This is a very old thread, but I couldn’t help commenting!

The reason why the bin files will run on any dvd player is due to the .cue file. Or really, what the burning program does with this .cue file. The bin file is a compressed version of the video, and the .cue file is a map for the burning program on how to decompress the video, and burn it onto a dvd. Go old posts go!

YES, a stand alone DVD player will play a .bin file if it’s a Vcd compatible player. Most DVD players are compatible anymore, but you should check over your machine to be sure it has the 'Compact Disk Digital Video' logo present. [walmart sells a magnavox player which has this logo as well as the divx logo for $35. It’s quite a gem, allowing you to play Vcds as well as Divx files.]

So, if a person burns a .bin/.cue file onto a CD, it will play in most DVD players. Dumbed down, the .cue file instructs the DVD player to “display” the .bin file. When it “displays” it, it runs the movie.

I too am searching for a way to turn my avi files into bin/cue files so that I can cart them around anywhere and play them.

I have a question, I recently downloaded a series of tutorial like programs, and they came in .bin/.cue files, 7 total sets for 7 cds. All but CD3 and CD6 burned perfectly. The other 2 burned fine, 1 is really load in the cd player as it burns. But when i go to use it, it wont work, and when i open the cd drive it shows no files...Tried several times, even extracted files to USB drive and tried to burn those to cd, but wont recognize it and still really loud on CD3.
