dino is right, rest of you lot fucking idiots. DVD players recognise .bin .cue files. you lot need to read up on technology before shouting people down
Hi guys, im trying to burn a 998Mbit BIN file to disc. I’ve read up on this thread and all is fine up until Nero says that there isn’t enough room om my disk.....
Any ideas would be great...
Thanks and Merry Christmas.
i used imageburn (a program)
google it or something.
There is a section in the program that you can build with, you build it and choose the entire folder of the bin, cue files. And go through all the tabs etc and it will convert it to an iso file. Then you can burn it onto dvd rather than cd-r.
Boy, I wish my DVD player played .bin files. I’d be one happy mofo!

Dino is right, so shut the fuck up TopsyTurvy,
.bin files can be played on dvd player, cos it has worked for me. As dino explained, u “burn as image” using nero version 6/7 (of what i know). The file is “movie”.cue file that comes with the .bin file. There are also some dvd players that play avi format cds/dvds. I would guess that it depends on the region u r in or the dvd player u got that will depend on what file format that can be played or not.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disk_image check that out for help
O.k guys look a bin cue file u can burn it alot faster then a stupid avi if download something in avi nero will converted to vod wich takes forever and a cue bin file only takes 10 min :P
oh yeah and the dvd player will read it except that it will only read it u will not have acces to the menu images get that :P
CONVERT .bin/.cue TO .mpg & CONVERT .mpg TO DVD FORMAT & BURN DVD
I have made it easily with these programs.
You need:
- IsoBuster
- WinAVIVideoConverter
- Nero Burning Rom (7)
Install all the three programs.
Open the bin or cue file.
Click on the MPEGAV folder.
Select all dat files and right click and select Extract but filter only M2F2 Mpg frames.
Save the new file as filename.mpg. It will automatically be converted to a compliant mpg file.
After the conversion is done, open WinAVI and click on Convert your media file to MPG/VCD/SVCD/DVD format.
Select the mpg file you have saved. From here, you’ll need to get familiar with the advanced setting. For myself; ENCODE settings, I make sure I can see a picture and I check Soften picture. DVD settings, audio bitrate is 128000, Target format is NTSC -for North America-, disk capacity is 4700MB, preference is by quality, I do not enable DirectAC3 or DVD MP2 Audio, Aspect ration is AUTO. It will automatically be converted to a compliant DVD format.
After the conversion is done, open Nero.
Click Create Data DVD. Nero Express will open but you have to click Back to set the settings.
Click Video/Pictures at the left and then DVD-Video Files at the right.
Now, make sur the setting at the right corner is at DVD5 (4483M
and not at DVD9 (8152M
.
Click Add.
Open DVD_01_1 folder, then Video_TS folder.
Select all the files by making absolutely sure they are one after the other, in the exact same order they are in Video_TS folder. Sometimes, if you press Ctrl to select them all, they don’t end up in order so, watch out for that.
Click Next.
Check to Print label if you want one and click Next.
Give your DVD a name if you want and click Burn.
Try the new DVD in your home DVD Player. If it works well, you can delete all the old files.
I hope all of this works out good for all of you. I can give you one link that would sure help: http://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=141726
With the time, you’ll get more experienced with Nero and you’ll be able to create a menu for your DVD
Jezaz,
Open Nero:
Copy and Back up
Burn Image to Disc
Find the CUE image on your computer and “open”.....doesn’t matter whether it’s a dvd bin/cue or cd-r bin/cue it will burn both.
How can i convert a bin file to avi file. if someone know please let me know the programm that convert this file.
i love bin files.
they play on my 7 year old computer without crashing once.
iiiii looooove biiiiin formats
i want a bin converter that transforms all my avi files to bin files so i can se more movies without my pc crashin every 3 minutes.
but i havent found one. :-((((
What was all this talk about? Dino.. you want to convert .avi
to .bin. Fine! Use Nero! It will do that. It will create an
image (.bin and .cue) that contains your .avi file.
Then, go ahead an burn that .bin onto a CD and pop it into
your DVD player. See for yourself what happens!
But try also to inspect that CD you burnt and see what it
has in it. You’ll see your original .avi file!!! So you
might as well just use Nero and burn the .avi file directly
onto the CD.
My DVD player plays many avi formats (not all though.. mostly DivX). So I just burn the .avi files onto the CD
or DVD and pop them in and it will play them.
If your player does the same, then forget about the .bin
files and just burn the .avi files directly. If it doesn’t
play .avi files, then whether you burn them directly or
turn them into .bin then burn them (which is completely
equivalent!!!), you will not be able to play them on your
DVD.
Good night, and have a nice life.
thanks BREEZY, that is the program that i needed (VCDGEAR) and yes , its easy. like you said...avi to mpeg(used winavi)...mpeg to bin/cue(vcdgear) 30 secs.=done.
it would still be nice to have a program that converts AVI directly to BIN/CUE.
if anyone knows of a program like that, i’d apprieciate an email......jwoodgate69@cogeco.ca thanks
This is a very interesting thread, I came here looking for an app that could combine .VOB files into .BIN and .CUE for easy access with Daemon Tools. You know, insted of queuing 5 different .VOB files to watch the whole DVD. But instead I find an argument that has blown out of proportion. Dino, you are right, it is much easier to burn a DVD if you use the image. (The Image is the .BIN and .CUE files) So everyone that has called you an idiot is infact just misunderstanding you. No a regular plain old .BIN or .CUE file won’t play on a standard DVD player, But, use those files to burn an image to a DVD and it sure as hell will. Now then, I see Dino found an App so I will have to check it out.
Ask for clarification on what someone is saying before you start calling them an idiot.
Latter Fuck Nuts ,.!..

Some people are so stupid it’s almost unreal, a cue and bin file of a movie will burn to a 700mb cd-r using nero or a program called burnatonce and probably lots of other programs. This then creates a VCD that plays in your dvd player. I too am having the same problem of converting a crappy avi file to a cue and bin format to burn but the file ends up too big!!! So instead of being anus’s, if you dont know the answer to the original question, go bury your head in the sand!!
It does definately work. A .bin or .cue file + my dvd player = movie. with Avi, it doesn’t.
Need converter.
i have a .cue file and a .bin file ... i did a download from p2p / file sharing .... when i m going to write the .cue file its saying " Cannot open ta file C:\converted music\dreamcast tomb raider 4(last revelation). then there is " OK " ... when i m pressing “OK” . then there is another error coming through " An error occured while loading the cue sheet file” ... then then the full path where it is stored and then (Line 1)..... plzzzzzzzz help me ... ![]()
