about mp2 and m2p files in MCI player

hi everyone,

I designed a MCI player which plays mpeg1, vob, avi, dat files BUT i am not able to play the mpeg 2 files

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHETHER IS IT POSSIBLE TO PLAY MPEG2 FILES IN MCI(Media Control Interface) PLAYER???????
