Can someone help me? every time i try to save my video i made on windows movie maker i get a message that says:
Windows movie maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the saving location is still available, and that there is enough free disk space available and try again.
I still have the original source files, i definately have enough disk space, And the destination folder is still available. So what should i do in this case because i really worked hard on this video and i don’t want to lose my work.
If any one can help me I would really appreciate it.
Well, when I did save it to my computer it saved as .wmv, but when I tried uploading it onto YouTube it would take countless hours. I still can’t upload videos. I have a very fast internet connection, and no glitches. It’s a brand new Dell laptop. And when I click to see if it fully uploaded it said that I needed to convert my video and that it can’t be uploaded.
WHEN YOU ARE IN MOVIE MAKER GO TO FILE AND THEN PRESS ''SAVE MOVIE'' WHICH IS BELOW ''SAVE AS'' AND JUST GO THROUGH THE STEPS IT TELL YOU TO FOLLOW AND WHEN YOU ARE DONE THE VIDEO WILL BE SAVED A A .WMV
I’m having the same problem and tried all the above suggestions and non of them work. The Note Pad suggestion sounded possible and you can save with 'Note Pad', but the MSWMM file still controls the file and will not allow anything to control as something else - any suggestions?
Window Movie Maker (MSWMM)is not a finished file, it is only a saved project file. When you complete your project, click onto PUBLISH MOVIE and then click onto 'email' (is best) and then you should see WMV which is an actual video file. If it does not show WMV, then scroll the list and find it and then click OK. It should be saved in your video file on your computer or your own file selected! I have 'Vista Home Basic' and this process worked for me. I was confused about it as well! Good Luck ..... J

I have a problem that’s really got me bothered. I made a video with WMM, and it saves and plays in my Windows Movie Maker, but it’s off with the music I put with it. At first it was only maybe a second off, but then as I kept replaying it in hopes that maybe it was going to fix itself, it kept getting more and more off. I’ve played it about 7 times now and it’s about 8 seconds off! Help??
Ok, I have tried a way and I hope it works for you too. When you are on Windows Movie Maker, on the left there is the thing it says “Publish to” and there are list below it. You just click on “This computer”. Then it will ask you again about where you want to watch it example on Windows Media Player. Then there is the place to change the format when you are at this stage. So you change it here to wmv. Then it will change the format from MSWMM to wmv.
Good luck and I hope this helps coz I did it.
