www.mympxplayer.org/ U can find various AMV CODEC there
I’m still uncertain whether the AMV format CODEC is copyrighted or not. However I bought the 1 GB “MP4” player for only 35 EUR in a black market, that’s why I’m uncertain too if the MP3 decoder embedded in the hardware is copyrighted from the fraunhoffer labs and so the permission from NOKIA to use their design of Li-ION batteries
For instance, Creative 512 MB MP3 player with no LCD screen worth almost twice than the Chinese 1 GB MP4 Player.
I found many Chinese vendors pirated licenses on software embedded in hardware and so the hardware design like HwaHw# routers that exactly the same as Ciscos. reply

I just brought an mp4 player that requires videos to be in AMV Format. I have converted them but when I go to play them it plays for a split second then comes up with “Format Error” does anyone know what could be happening?

Hi this is anand, i am also using one of the china brand amv player. its not an mtv format player it came with its software which according to them converts most of the formats into amv.

This is for who is having a problem with “directory or file cannot be created” problem. If you are using XP this is what you do.

1. Right click and select “Open as Portable Media Device
2. Select “Record” directory in your player. This is a folder for the voice recording.
3. Transfer all your mp3 files on the player.
4. After done transferring your files, cut and copy all your files to the main/primary root of your player. There, you are done!

Somehow, if you tried to copy files directly to the root... it wouldn’t work sometimes. reply
