I just brought an mp4 player that requires videos to be in AMV Format. I have converted them but when I go to play them it plays for a split second then comes up with “Format Error” does anyone know what could be happening? reply

I have exactly the same problem, i have tried converting to AMV format etc. and when i go on the mp4 player (chinese made) it plays the video clip for about a second, perfectly, and then comes up with a yellow/orange screen saying “format error”

Can anyone shed light on this, i would really like to fix it up? reply

I have the same problem too. I think its because it needs to be 128x96 pixels and alot of them convert to 128x128 pixels. We need to find a converter that allows you to change pixel size alos. reply

If it says the directory or file cannot be created, than i think you need to delete some files to make more room...that’s the case with my mp4 player, but i’m pretty sure the same problem is with urs reply

Hii I’m Nando.
I just bought a nice made-in-china 1GB MP4 player powered by a Li-Ion Nokia battery. However, I’m still having difficulties in converting my movies into AMV format.
Where I could get the AMV converter?
I googled on the net and founded that the stupid MP4 vendors making wikipedia as an advertising media for their products:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMV_video_format
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ACT_(audio_format) reply
