I was able to download the Recording editor directly from https://mci.webex.com/client/wbs25-vzbprodins/ateditor.msi

I had to uninstall the Meeting Manager to get the old versions of the Recorder & Player and the Editor off my machine. I think this is the Meeting Manager (https://mci.webex.com/client/wbs25-vzbprodins/atmcie.msi) and this is the player (https://mci.webex.com/client/wbs25-vzbprodins/atrecply.msi). I think you can download those both from the WebEx site too, but I added them for easy access. reply

I tried doing it with Camtasia and it’s not worth the hassle. Terrible audio quality and if anything pops up on your PC, the recording is toast. E-Tech did a great conversion to Flash FLV as well as Mp4 formats (h.264). reply

webex format to mp3 and mp4

I recently got my files converted from Webex format to mp3 and mp4 by the company that manages our conferencing archives (http://gilaad.com) , but they are charging this as a service (per hour), they don’t sell their tool.

Just go to webex and download the Webex Recording Editor, open the wrt file and then save it in the format you want.

the editor is version 2.8...is there a later release of the editor to edit/convert .wrf files recorded under version 3.0? reply

Just a note, Webex offers their own converter/recording editor through their website which will allow you to convert the file to a .wmv reply

Mike Your answer was the only one on the web that gave me what I needed. I have tried to repost everywhere I can. Thank you so much!

When I export to WMV, the video is terrible. Does any know what the best settings to select when exporting to WMV to obtain the best possible graphics.

It is great to be able to convert the file, but if I lose the graphics quality, it ruins the whole point.

I ran into the exact same issue when converting a .wrf to wmv using Webex’s editing tool. My solution was to change the default settings. Not only did the conversion go quicker but the image quality of the .wmv came out awesome.

What I’d recommend you do:
1) Open the webex file converter.
2) Open the file you want to convert from .wrf to .wmv format.
3) Go to File, then Export to...
4) When it prompts you, just name and save the file.
5) WMV options window will appear. Under Video: Change the codec to “Windows Media Viewer 9."
6) I also changed the audio Codec to ACELP.net, although this may not be necessary if you’re concentrating just on improving the video quality.
Take a look at how the above .wrf conversion turned out here:

This is all with Webex’s wrf editing software.

Mike.

Thanks guys. Got my file converted at E-Tech because the WRF converted was dropping the audio feed. E-Tech did a great job -- professional quality at an affordable price. I fully recommend them. reply
