hello everyone, im new here and have a simple question. i have successfully decrypted my “The Matrix” DVD onto my HDD. now i would like to convert that IFO file into an AVI or MPEG or WMV so i can inport it into Adobe Audition to extract audio from it. how could i do this? i have WinAVI Converter, but an error pops up and says the file type is not supported. it also tells me to download the Real Codec (version 9 or higher). anyway i can convert that file?
You can use WinAvi to convert to avi. WinAvi converts vob files to avi format. One program to convert IFO to avi is AoA DVD Ripper. Hope it helps!
But all those software types have a time restriction or you need to purchase them - are there any freeware versions which do the same??
i got winavi from a torrent site. this has the best performance. it finished a whole movie from vob to avi in 7 minutes at 100 fps
I recommend DVD Decrypter if you want to rip the DVD files. For converting these to avi, a program like Handbrake works quite well.
i only have a DVD decrypter can somebody teach me how to convert .IFO to .AVI and how can i squeeze the file to be a smaller file?
I have the same problem. There are few programs that convert .Ifo to .Avi. All are for sale. I prefer the AVS Video Converter. Very good guide, functionally very well, but costs a bit.
