converting . dem files to . avi

If you have an old computer then do this to not have a laggy time while doing a demo (If you have a good PC it shouldn’t lag!):

Do a normal demo with the console in let’s take Counterstrike Source, write (record <demo name>) to start the demo, then when you want the demo to finnish just open the console and write (stop),then just open the finnished demo in source again (playdemo <demo name>) and then start the fraps movie maker (F9) so it won’t lag while you’r playing the game! Finnito... enjoy :P

to open a dem file mainly used for games runing on half life mods half life and cs games. to open these open the game and in the menu press ~ and the concol will open. in consol type playdemo (nameoffile) so for one of my videos i will put playdemo caffeine1 or whatever i decie to name it at the time of recording

i hav a mac n i desperately want to watch some cs demos. is there any software other then counterstrike itself, to open d .dem files. ihav heared bout 1 called geek player but it is only windows compatible. pro’s. plz help me out

Yo, MACs suck because of their RAM. (Random Access Memory)

If you wanna watch some CS videos then get mroe ram

macs come with like default 8mb and a piece of SHIT processor

Well i tryed this but this only works on demos from cs 1.6 & 1.5 but what if i want to change my source demos (.DEM files) into avi with “rewelater” it doesnt work ?? help plz ?

i tryed rewelator but every time when i try 2 load a dem file ( from cs:s) it says “error Demo has bogus entrys. can’t read this Demo " ???? help ?

I believe you type “record <file name>" into the console. <file name> is the name the file will be saved to.

Example:

“record demo1” (type into console)

Time passes, you record your demo.

“stop” (type into console)

Your demo stops recording and is saved.

“playdemo demo1” (type into console)

Your demo plays and you can either watch it or use a screen recording program to record into a .avi, .mpeg, etc.
