works perfectly with the bbc.co.uk files
example:
http://rmv8.bbc.net.uk:80/gloucestershire/nb/gloucestershire_asperger_4x3_nb.rm
converted to a .avi
Real7ime Converter (R7C) is a converter of any RealPlayer(tm) streaming medias (video and sound) to AVI/WAV/MP3 format. Just drag and drop RealMedia files or web links/urls on the R7C window to convert.

it works fine. this is just what i needed! school cannot run .ram files for whatever reason so .avi will work!
u need a download manager, which will save the files on your hard drive. I use NetTransport, there is a crack for it located here (This is not really a crack... it is the chinese free version but works just as good as the american, and once installed it is in english so no worries)
Link: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=zh-CN&u=http://www.52z.com/soft/2263.html&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dhttp://www.52z.com/soft/2263.html%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26sa%3DG
NetTransport also save’s Streaming videos onto ur HD, which is awesome, and it works for almost any kind of streaming file. (the installation is in a different language, just install it, then u will have the english version.)
When u get to the link scroll down until u see the three “Here Downloads”, click the third one, and when u get to that link, look to the left side at the top and there are three boxes, click the third one of that as well, save and install!

I have a bunch of *.ram files. They are 1Kb and contain a link to a *.rm file on the net somewhere. The files are Audio and video. Is there a way to convert these files to anything like *.wmv *.avi or *.mpg?
THanks in advance - ZakRL
Yeah there is a way email me and I will possibly send you the program! Tsuyosasama@yahoo.com
Try using snag it for capturing any video and audio - if that doesn’t work then go here and get this free software http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=Real7ime_Converter
I hope this helps - i have searched days for this and wasted much time

This is tricky software be careful - choose the right stuff - store your output and don’t play music at the same time or you’ll get 0kb files

Is there a way to download them to your harddrive then? and I can’t go offline i have a permnent broadband connection.
BTW. I’m using a program called EO-Video to convert.
I have found some music files that I need for our church orchestra. When I play them from the web site, they play with real player. I understand that they are not downloaded on my hard drive. How do I do that? I have a converter to make them WAV or mp3 but the files show as 0 bytes. I am sure there is a way to do this I just don’t know how. Someone PLEASE help!!

You record the sound while playing it in Real Player or Windows Media Player using a capture device software like Roxio or Nero together at the same time. It works fine and outputs a *.wav file that you can then convert to mp3.
Dear forum
I have a video file, I would like to put it on my website, does anyone know how to do it, please show me how to stream.
1) first I must have a file pointer to my file file
in html, is this correct?
href=www.mywebname/video/myvideofile.ram
First open your .ram file with notepad. It will show you the website address to that .ram file. Copy this website address.
In the 2nd step open notepad and write the HTML like this,
<a href=“THE WEBSITE ADDRESS OF .RAM FILE”>Download</a>
and save it with ".html” extension
Then open the saved file with ".html” extension and right click and then choose “Save the target As” and it will start downloading your .ram file.
xilisoft video converter can convert between many popular formats, but i’m not sure wherther it can convert .ram, maybe u can try
Hi, I tried the opening with notepad, copying the url and then putting the suggested stuff at the beginning and end and saving as .html file. When I open the html file, it takes me to a webpage with “Download” on it but when I right click and save target as it says download could not complete.
Is there another way of doing this?
Thanks.
