The best way to do that is to open your project, click save to my computer either on the top right or in the menu, the next, then it saves it to wmv file which from here if you cannot play it via windows media player, use any free software online to convert it. or you can grab programs like Roxio Creator and others via torrents and do anything you want with it. I hope this was helpful.. reply

i had the same problem. i know this was posted a long time ago, but for anyone who needs help: in the top right corner where it says save movie, click the arrow on the bottom of this button. then click recommended settings and it should save as a wmv. instead. reply

Go on Windows Live Movie Maker, Open your file. Next to the remove and select all buttons is a big box with components such as 'YouTube' and a selection of different screens. Scroll down in the box and click the picture of a blue desktop PC. It will then save and convert itself to AVI, WMV, WMP, MP4 etc;

-Hope this helped,

The Windows Live Movie Maker Project can be loaded in Movie Maker and exported to a WMV file. If you need a different format, say a MP4 file, you can convert the WMV to MP4 using Digital Media Converter Pro - http://www.deskshare.com/audio-video-converter.aspx reply
