okay well im new so i dont really get this. I downloaded it, and now i need to get it from avi format to a format where i can burn it to a dvd. and once im done changing the format, how do i burn it? thank you 
You just need a converter,and a burner.May be can try winavi.It can help you to convert avi to dvdand also can burn to disc.You can try trial version first.It’s very easy to use.Good luck
my converter program says hat it cant recognize the avi file even though the avi file plays great with windows media player.

I cant take my VHS to you because of the dictanse, but I apreciate the recomendations of the gold DVD. You are totally right!!! Actually you can directly burn avi files to dvd on Mac with DVD Creator or Burner. There are many DVD Maker for Mac recommended on this forum.
