making as movie i downloaded onto a dvd

i downloaded a movie off of lime wire actually 1 is a avi video and the other is a mpeg i bought dvd +r cd’s to use but my computer wont use those i tried cd-r but my dvd player doesnt read it if u can help it would be nice to watch it on a real tv instead of a computer screen
