I have a cd burner and use Nero Express for it. I have burned about 5 or 6 cds this past month but the other day I tried to make an MP3 disc, and it
wouldn’t do it because it wouldn’t read the cd.
I got new blank cds, different ones, and they too did not work. So I tested a lot of game cds and data cds and software and such, and it didn’t read any of my cds. Could someone please help me??
If anyone has any tips for this guy, please post. I have the exact same problem.
Exactly what I was doing, burning a CD from an .iso under NeroExpress 6. It crashed during the finalization process and after which I could no longer read/write anything. I’ve tried a few of the tools from Neros website, updating Windows, uninstalling the drivers and restalling them for the CD burner, nothing seems to work.
Any help at all is appreciated.
First try to update your Nero is a new version 6.6.0.16 and a New Vision Express 3.1.0.16 from here:http://www.nero.com/us/nero-up.php After this try to find out a new firmware for your burner from manufacturer site and install it.Go to this site on forum and try to find more details about your burner and how to check the DMA setting:http://www.cdfreaks.com/
I have Nero version 6. When I tried to burn a movie onto the DVD disc, it didn’t read the disc or something. The disc has 4.7gb of space, 8x speed, and 120mins on it. when i put it in the drive, the meter at the bottom of the window, it said there was only 700mb maximum. anyone know whats going on? if you need more info, e-mail me.
Thanks
Either, my Plextor 716SA stopped reading dvds(retail and burned) for a brief time. It read cd and cd-r fine tho, just no dvd. This happened after latest firmware update. I just screwing around tried to burn a dvd, it burned fine and the drive once again began to read dvds..just saying if its a plextor drive it could be a firmware issue is all. Especially if you recently updated.
Oh yea , the latest firmware changed how my drive is seen in windows now..it was shown as what it is BEFORE the update (A 716SA) now it is shown as a 716A :/
