what is a good program to convert a avi file to a videocd file

Fuck this shit!!!!!!!winavi video converter converts anything and it works good but I still can’t get anything on a dvd to play on a standalone because I don’t know the right player or codec or whatever to use. So yeah, the program works fast and excellent but I wish I knew what player or what to open the files to play. Anyone can help? Oh yes I did install all that shit that the program asks to get like real time and quick time and I don’t know if the other one is right. I got windows media real player 9 which is for windows me that i got. The rest i don’t know if i got it right. Can anyone help please??????????????????????

But does anyone know a program that can change VBR to AVI and maintain it’s quality? Cause I tried some rmconverter but the quality is really bad...
