any help will be highly appreciated
thanks
Look back through this thread for a file called MT823.rar.
I have it and while it isn’t a version of the Sunplus Transcoder that I like, it does have some extra drivers for a USB camera (which my player doesn’t have).
As to removing the time/date thing, if it’s “watermarking” that onto the jpeg picture itself, all you can do is crop it off the picture with most any paint program. If it’s on a fairly solid color part of the picture, it would also be possible to do a bit of digital retouching on it in a decent paint program, but those are about your only options.

I am using this http://54mengxi.com/aneca/down/536setup.exe for transcoding to .ASF files. It works well, but I cannoy retain the aspect ratio. It always go to 352 x 240. Can someone help me find an ASF transcoder which can retain aspect ratio or allow to adjust it.

TwilightWannabeJust one of the wonderful “standard” settings that Sunplus chose “for” you. The specific reason it’s 352X240 is that a DVD is in reality a 704X480 frame size (though it will say 720X480). So Sunplus is using the fairly fast 1/2 reduction and that’s the size you get. In my case, my players screensize is exactly 320X240, so I use Vdub to get that size, instead of having 32 pixels chopped off when playing.

I can’t answer for possible settings to prevent the camera watermarking the dates on the jpeg, since mine doesn’t have that function.
But on the other, the MT823.rar file I have, does have a folder called WIN98DRIVER so it should get you most of what you need. Just googleing for that filename got me http://www.media-tech.pl/pub/drivers/823.rar and that file is in that directory. If that one doesn’t work, should be others available.

voxjWannabeRexRoy — pmp ver 0.9 allows you to set quality, frame rate, and aspect ratio, plus it allows you to batch multiple files
“320 x 240” does preserve the aspect ratio, meaning that the movie occupies just the middle half of the screen
unfortunately, even with “best” quality, the conversion is quite boxy/blocky
if you want to try it for yourself, look for ver 0.9 details here http://kookosity.blogspot.com/2007/01/pmp-up-jam.html

hi ZAIB,
from what i know, readin from this forum, i think most MP4 players from sunplus cant make playlists and cant even read folders?
if u want that, i think u gotta upgrade the firmware or smt.
HOWEVER, u are adviced: DO NOT UPGRADE the firmware!!!!!!
cos most who did, got their player “burned” and it doesnt turn on anymore...
i am sorry to say that as far as i know, these players cant read folders.
i was really hoping it does too...
hope this helped..
