Jo From Wi : first you need a DVD Ripper, DVD Files (.vob) do not convert in The PMP Tool. I reccomend downloading DivX and DVD2AVI, (encode the DVD to a 320x240 resolution with 24fps framerate) then open the pmp transcoding tool, you will also need the AC3 decoder installed for the audio

pls help need pmp working for xmas. receive stop error when trying to copy 700mb movie onto 1gb sd card. winxp says error is caused by a device driver that is not correct for windows version. do i need to format or do anything to the sd card. had no problem coverting movie with sunplus pmp just cant get it on to card. pls help. they are for my children for xmas

sorry! difficult to explain. when i try to copy movie on to 1gb sd card my computer restarts due to a stop error. the explanation given is that it is caused by a device driver that is not correct for the version of windows or the device driver is poorly written which can cause windows to stop working.
1st of all U did not mention/say which model/make of pmp that U r using & furthermore if ur pmp r bundled with any specific software that might needs 2 b install b4 it could work.
china mp4 game player. came with disc but cant install. did manage to get sunplus pmp transcoding tool off the disc which works fine. i dont have a problem copying on to internal 512mb memory only the 1gb sd card.
The only problem with all chinese pmp doesn’t give any whatsoever support @ all. All they want is 2 sell & makes money. In order 2 copy the files on2 ur sd, U need 2 have a card reader. U can buy 1 @ any camera outlet.
Step 1: Connect ur USB pmp in2 the USB port that U have connected b4.
Step 2: Connect the USB card reader in2 another USB port (new)
Finally..wait until window XP say it is ready 2 use. Only then U can transfer ur file on 2 the sd card.
