I have the same problem and found this link

http://hrsbstaff.ednet.ns.ca/landryp/cdcreate.htm

I have not been able to test it out because the Pinnacle program is not on my computer (I’m troubleshooting for a friend). It looks like it has great possibilities. Please send me an e-mail and let me know if it works.

OK I really don’t understand the problems here are you guys all NOOBS???? Yes? OK then here is all you need to do. I have had and will never upgrade 9.4.3 and it rocks. I also use it for my security camera to watch/record people on the streets (summer time rocks)Any way save you flick/project, once that is done go to SETUP-MAKE AVI FILE You will see a box come up and from there you can make it about 6 other ways. Sort of their way of saying EXPORT. How this helps, This is GOD over and out.

I had the same exact problem for a while, and the whole day i was trying to figure out what was wrong, and then i found it.
When your done making the movie, instead of saving it right away, you click make movie on the top next to where it says edit and capture and then click make .avi file. If you already saved the movie before doing this, just click file, then new project, then click on the movie you made, and then do those steps as i said.
