Basically it does the convertion, but after that not even its own player can run the file. It freezes after exactly 3 seconds and when i try to run it in my mp4 player (chinese; no brand) it appear a “format error” sign after a few seconds.

Does anyone know how can i fix it? I’ve read that you have to modify a file, but that would alter the resolutions, and i’m pretty much and average PC user so i don’t know how to modify a file.

Anyway, i would really appreaciate the help. Thanks in advance.

I FOUND OUT HOW TO DO IT (thank god, i was about to break it)
first for some reason MP4’s dont work on an MP4 player!
So you download any format of video (mpg is what i usally get)
Then with the cd you got with the MP4 player it’s probably called boot cd or somehting. There should be a converter on it install it on to your computer and convert your video’s on them. The just copy and paste the finished amv or mtv file to your MP4.
If by any chance you have lost the cd or need more help on converting them so it comes out in the best uality as possible here is a website you can download it from and they tell you how to use it so your amv’s or mtv’s come out the best quality as possible.
http://www.mympxplayer.com/
scroll to the bottom and pick any of the AMV converter tools or the mtv converter tool . (I use amv converter tool 3.68 the most stable and best one)then when you click on iy read the description and then click on the instructions link if you want to get your video’s to the best uality as possible.
Finally the difference between amv and mtv files is they are different formats usally they dont both work on an MP4 player. amv is better because the file size comes out smaller and better quality. Test out which one works on your MP4 player.

Update. if the mympxplayer.com site is invalid, try this site for a amv converter http://ygsm.gnway.net/ygsm/ Heres a site with a guide on converting using the converter http://www.hkitac.com/amv.htm
Good luck

For some reason the converter Tools 4.00 doesn’t convert AVI files (with DIXV or XVID code) into the AMV file. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Hi!! I tried several encoding programs before converting with AMV converter. In order to convert any movie file, download this program from this site.(http://www.robbiek.com/badak.htm)
You have to encode one more time to get work with AMV converter. No so pretty, is it.. )-:

Sure. Most of the time u will have like button with a gear as the logo. click on it and itll have all ure settings, make sure u highlight the playlist first or else it wont let u click the button. ule get wut i mean. then after just click resolution size

that is because in the settings u have the CUT SEGMENT activated. to change it click on the button with the gear as a logo. there undo the cut video source
