Poor Sound when convrting to ASF for MP4 Player

Hi,
I recently bought a 2.5” TFT MP4 player from ebay. Its a chines made one with 256mb flash memory.

It required video files to be in ASF format.

I have used the supplied transcoding software (Sunplus) to convert video files (avi, mpg) to ASF.
These sound fine on my laptop but are seriously distorted on my player.
The sample video on the player sounds ok.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I have a problem with this player. Some files are freeze player. I try to play/pause/rew/ff/... Noting. Reset button works only.
Who have this trouble? Please mail to me, thanks.
