Hey guys, I’ve got a Sony DCR-DVD203 Handycam and I need to convert these files to view them in Windows Media Player to edit them. Right now, they are a whole bunch of .vob, .ifo, and .bup files which are unviewable. How do I convert these files so I can view my video(s)?

I would like to edit this piece and then upload to youtube.com I have windows xp which has a movie maker but I can’t access the recording to make a movie. However, I can view it on the player. yes!
I also think you need a dvd ripper program to help you.
you can try wondershare dvd ripper, which allows you to rip .vob, .ifo, and .bup files to wmv format to be viewable on Windows Media Player.
And it also lets you edit dvd.

search for it on google. there are plenty of programs available that will convert .vob files into .wmv files. Only problem is most if not all of them require u to upgrade to the paid for edition to use it to its full potential.

Just rename the .vob to .mpg then you will be able to play them as .mpg files. Once they are mpg files they are easier to convert to .wmv or just use the .mpg file! I hope that helps.

Try to use axara video converter. It can convert video to any formats and for any devices. It also can create DVD and burn it to disc.

I think Total Video Converter is OK!
E.M. Total Video Converter is a piece of extremely powerful and full-featured converter software that supports almost all video and audio formats.
