.mpg to .mov on the mac

I’m Trying to convert .mpg into .mov but when i downloaded the program it says you need to buy the full version...
help please

My friend recommend you imedia converter for mac. I used it to rip dvd to wmv and avi to mp4. works excellent. It can also convert mpg to mov. you can have a try too. Following is a step by step guide:

Well it’s not working for me... I have two files that were originally.rar files.
I have tried everything Stuffit, Unarchiver.. then I have tried to turn them into .mov... all I get is the same warning: THIS IS NOT A MOVIE FILE. But I am told and am pretty confident that they are and that if I had a pc they would open... but I have a MAC... Any thought? Thanks you

you need to uncompress the .rarf first before converting to mov

I did uncompress... and then I get an mpg file and then I get a THIS IS NOT A MOVIE error.

very nice converter - a 3 min mpg2 video to mov took about an hour BUT well worth it!

and it will convert it for you, you can then download it from the website
