Hi I am just starting out doing conversions and doing some reading from other forums etc. and I stumbled across this forum which obviously has very experienced users here, whom I hope will assist in getting me more familiar with how to get the end product that I want.
First I purchased Moyea software, the flv. converter.
It has a large number of extensions that I can convert to.
What I have done so far is convert from a couple of flv video clips into mp3 (Audio only) and have verified that they work on Windows Media Player.
I should say that my OS is xpsp2.
What I would like to do is d/l when the flv on youtube is of decent quality and convert to an extension that I can burn onto a dvd and watch on my stand alone dvd player.
I realize that in some instances b/c of compression that it won’t be reasonable to so this,however in some cases I would like to give it a try.
What extension do I convert to? DVD?
Also I wondered if there is such an app where I can keep adding onto ad DVD, additional burned youtubes so that I would end up with a compilation. I am as I say new to this and don’t know if it is possible.
Of course if the youtube is copyrighted I would not be doing such a project.
I hope that my queries are clear and I look forward to experienced comments.
I should say that this Moyea converter I have found so far to be user friendly and does a decent job.

Getting back to my topic, I wondered if there is anyway to enhance the Quality of the output on the Video of the youtube DVD...I know that it has to do with Compression when it was uploaded and I just wondered if there is an application available to deal with that issue.
And then I had an after thought? Would it be better to use the Moyea flv converter to convert to mpeg rather than vob which I store in “my videos” and then burn them to my DVD that I want to watch?

it’s still illegal to just download the audio and not the video from any copyrighted material. If you post videos (and sometimes audio) on youtube then you’ll get them yanked quickly.
They are really coming down on people that take copyrighted material these days.
