please let me know which software could convert 3gp video files to MPEG 4,etc to be made compatable to be played in DVD and Windows media players,which is available as a free dowload.

You need to be more precise what you mean by MPEG-4. There’s tons of implementations of it. You have to specify what you want - container and (if relevant) codec. Just off the top of my head there’s MS-MPEG-4 (not ISO-compliant), DivX, XviD, 3ivx, MS ISO MPEG-4, Apple MPEG-4, the MP4 file container, and then there’s MPEG-4 part 10, which is AVC (H.264) and I won’t even get into that.

Also right off the top of my head I don’t think there’s anything that will do a 1-step conversion. There’s many 3gp to avi converters out there though - some are listed on this page

P.S: QuickTime Pro can convert directly to 3GP to MP4, if that’s what you’re looking for.

I have looked until I could not look anymore and I never found a true free 3gp converter on the net only demos.the only way I guess you can get one is if you pay the money.If anyone knows of one let me know and I will kiss your ass
