encoding rmvb, mpeg, avi to vcd

what kind of software do i need to encode video files (including rmvb, mpeg and avi) into vcds?

For avi and mpeg it’s pretty straightforward since those are open formats, but for rmvb you’ll have a hard time finding anything that converts it to anything else. For avi and mpeg TMPGEnc should do the trick. (http://www.tmpgenc.net). Also recent versions of Nero have some nice VCD creation tools. (http://www.nero.com)
