Is it possible to convert an AVI or MPG file to KVCD?

Is it possible to convert an AVI or MPG file to KVCD?
Yes, it is possible.
Go to www.kvcd.org . Use TMPGEnc and one of the templates. There’s also a CQ calculator etc that need to be used for bitrate conversion etc.
When converting the AVI converts to non-standard MPEG1 (.MPG) and a normal .MPG converts to non-standard MPEG1.
KVCDs are non-standard and won’t play on all regular DVD players. If encoded correctly KVCDs are better quality than VCD.
ok, so i tried following the step by step guide at kvcd.org, but my (a xvid rip of run ronnie run) movie, when done encoding, had no audio at all. The full movie was there, but thier was also black screen equal to the length of the movie, AFTER the movie was over.
What could I be doing wrong?
-mE
Set the DirectShow File Reader to 4.
Option>Environmental setting>VFAPI plug-in
Now encode only a bit of the movie, then check if you have sound and audio.
Lol @ sound and audio.
I mean encode a little bit, then check if you have sound and picture.
