I have an avi movie I wanted to burn to DVD and it comes up with a message saying that I have to have movie x player to play this file and sends me to this URL:
http://ddl.moviexplayer.com/?r=wmp&title=The%20Ugly%20Truth&embedded=false

Is there any way I can convert this and get it to play?

Thanks

Probably a fake (common way on p2p to get people to download and install malware, or to release credit card info). discard and move on.

I’m having issues with crap like that too. One download told me I needed playvix and another told me I needed movie x player... Another movie kept telling me that I had to download VLC media player- but I’ve already got it. It kept saying “Codec error: Play in Windows Media Player”... Even when I tried playing it in Windows Media Player.

And I DID read the comments before downloading these movies. Comments, reviews, likes, dislikes, bit rate- everything about the torrent... Two different movies, five torrents each- all effed up. I don’t know any other place to look...

Theses files are fake.
Check out http://www.scenereleases.info/
Always go to Mininova for torrents.
Fenopy has previews which shows whether it is a true
pop-up or just the stupid video.
