Nero Burning Rom

When I go to brun my DVD I get the following message:

“You have selected a disc type that is not supported by your hardware drives. Nero Burning ROM can write only to the image recorder, however this requires a change of the application settings. Should Nero Burning ROM change the settings for you?"

What does this mean and what should I do? Should I let it change the settings?
