mkv (x264) to DVD ? 720p to reg dvd is it possible?

I own convert X 3 and DVD fab platinum .I have a movie that’s 4.3 gb in mkv(X-264) formatt ,is it possible to retain the high quality 720p of X264 and burn it to regular DVD+r 4.7gb disc? appreciate the help.
