Language Problem when converting VOB to AVI

I ripped an anime DVD onto my computer. I want to convert each 1Gb VOB episode into a 250Mb AVI.

The problem is, the default audio language is Japanese so that’s how it converts. I tried looking for the ENGLISH audio channel but they all say AC3 and such and everything is as it should be but I want it in English.

What do I do?
