jerky motion shots on dvd playback

hi all
great forum!
my problem is jerky motion shots on dvd playback.
i’m downloading film on rapidshare and using convert x to burn.
but when i watch on my dvd any fast motion shots are noticeably jerky.
i burned at 2x.
can anyone suggest a fix or maybe better software.
