How to correct audio lag when burning avi to vcd

Hi! Can someone help me to correct this error pleas? I have these Survivor series downloaded which I can watch properly on my PC,though it is a bit jumpy. But when I burn these avi files to a vcd, it starts off well but the audio start later than the video and at the end of each episode there´s like 4or 5 seconds of audio lag.
I´m quite new with these type of things, so can anyone help me please? Thanx!
