How to convert .rmvb to any extension that I can burn to DVD

1)I have download a file .zip
2)Open .zip I see .rmvb
3) I convert .rmvb to .avi or .wmv but it does not work


Please help me how to convert it to buen the movie to DVD. I really appriceate it.
