Newguy829 Guest | This is a, really, really, really delayed reply (considering that this thread started in 2006) but i came across this thread recently while getting an understanding of ts files, and wanted to clarify the above suggestion about using windows media player to play ts files. You have to use media player “classic” to play these files. And believe it or not, you have to rename the file extension to wm in order to get it to play the file.
amazing huh. | |

Newguy829 Guest | If you want to view the files you can also try videolan
http://www.videolan.org/
and if you need to convert a file in order to burn to dvd
http://www.midwinter.com/~bcooley/
both programs are free and both programs seem to work as expected.

padneen Guest | ts files can be converted using a free software called HJSPLIT
if you have more than 1 file of the same batch just load the first file and hjsplit will convert all of the files. the easiest software you will ever use

padneen Guest | HJSPLIT IS THE EASIEST SOFTWARE FOR CONVERTING TS FILES IF YOU HAVE A BATCH OF THE SAME MOVIE FILES
JUST CONVERT THE FIRST FILE AND THE PROGRAM FINDS
AND CONVERTS THE REST TO AVI FILES

vanflight Guest | After I make a copy of my video files on the enverio to my computer, and then delete that back up why can’t I make a backup again seeing as the videos are still on the camcorder hard drive?

vanflight Guest | Dufus here: I backed up all my videos from my enverio
camcorder using Enverio Mediabrowser. Then I deleated them. Why can’t I back them up a second time?
The videos are still on the camcoder HD so I burned a DVD of the files and they saved as Video-TS which I was able to view with my DVD player on the TV. Have I forfieted the chance to edit these DVD files in a movie software? Can I convert them now that they are saved on a DVD?

3v1ld34d Guest | i have a hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1850 PCI Express TV combo tuner.and the tv i record for my local cable company is stored as a ts file . i can import the ts file onto the timeline in sony vegas . from there i clip out the commercials. then render as what ever i need , wmv, mpeg, quick time. what ever . its very easy and works every time. but if you look through the sony vegas spec sheet you wont see any support for .ts files. yet it does in fact suppot them. good luck

Shenuna Guest | Ts video format is one of the HD Video.
First, you can play TS video with free VLC Player on your Mac.
Second, if you want to play it on your DVD player, you should burn TS video to DVD,maybe the step by step guide can help you:

If you want to burn a TS file or convert and burn a video file you can use DVD Creator. --- How to Convert various SD and HD videos to DVD
