How to autogen DVD titles based on video title/date?

OK - so this may be a bit off topic, but this forum knows all of the big and niche software to just get things done...

I have years worth of video files from my digicam - hundreds of vids. Does anybody have a methodology/software to automatically put the name of the video file with the date of the file as DVD text either before the video plays or as a subtitle?

I can easily script the name/date into an overall or individual text file for each of the videos - I just haven’t seen software out there can can automatically do what I want.
