Help! (programs that let you chose what scenes you want?)

Okay, I just got a new computer and it doesnt have the same program as my old one did and I cant remember what it was called. All I remember is that when you opened it and chose whatever movie file or disc that it would show all of the different sections (or scenes) of that movie so that when you burned it you could chose what scenes you wanted. For example you could take out the credits or the first few minutes of non movie stuff (previews, warnings, names etc.). Anyone know of any programs like that? I would really appreciate any help... even if it’s just what type of search I could do on google/yahoo/where ever.
