Error message after hours of transcoding DL's to dvd/rw Help Please

Ok, I’m about ready to throw this Sony DXR810UL out the window. It uses Nero 6. I’ve tried for almost three days to burn 5 DL eppys onto a sony dvd/rw disc. As far as I know they are Avi’s but after looking at the error mess, I see VOB mentioned. Yes I’m a newbie and blonde on top of it I hope someone can read this error and explain how I can coorect it. Someone 'Please' explain in laymans terms or email me. Thanks in advance.

Hi Blondie looks like you try to kill that burner.It fail during convertion and the way you do it is taking too long so my advice is use a video converter like VSO DivX to DVD and at the end of convertion is going to use VSO Copy to DVD made by the same company and burn the dvd.Works with multiple files and subtitle and has a very easy interface but is a shareware.The older version 0.5 is a freeware but I don’t recommend it.Or you can use a different converter from avi to dvd and use Nero open video dvd and load the video ts into.Nero Vision if you want to use it load only vob’s in order 1.0,1.1 and so on and is going to burn it on dvd.Try to update your Nero the last update for 6.6 was huge with Nero 7 they still work on it.Good Luck.

I have another question ...actually questions but regard to the VSO, does this program convert the avi to a MPEG2? I DL Nero 7 plug-ins and am currently Dl VSO Copy DVD. So what you are saying is I have to convert one epy at a time and then I can burn all 5 using VSO onto a DVD/RW ? Where do you save the converted eps while awaiting the others in the conversion process? Thanks so much for your help! I hope this works.

ok, the converted ep finished and before I could do anything it burned successfully onto a dvd/rw BUT How do I do this (convert than it auto burns) and have more than one ep per dvd? I heard you could add a few/several eps per 4.7 dvd/rw disc?
PS: I love that I can play it on my home DVD player too!

I said DivX to DVD works with multiple files.You don’t say what converter you have.Not all of them works with multiple file so you have to convert one at the time.Don’t burn the first one on dvd load all of them at once.Here is guide about it read first and save your dvdr’s.http://www.afterdawn.com/index-menu.cfm

I guess it time 4 my last post 4 2oo5. The answer 2 ur question is YES. U can convert WMV file 2 DVD. But b 4 U can do that..U’ll have 2 get a software called WinAVI Video Converter v7.1. It’s a Shareware. U can try it 4 free..but it will leave a watermark on the video.

1st convert the WMV 2 AVI.

Ok, I’ve been also trying to burn a DL movie to DVD that I can watch on any DVD player. I tried VSO but after 3 hours converting, ( OH! The movie is in two parts/2 cd’s) and than burning, it says it burned successfully/finished but it still won’t read in my dvd player.: error and so forth. It won’t play on my DVD rom either. What’s up? I’m using DVD/R discs. Please and again, thanks in advance.

Hi Blondie.If you read something from the link I gave you, you get more infos than any reply to your questions.Before you start VSO check on options your video system NTSC for Americas and Pal for Europe.If you know how to work with BT look for a package called TsunamiMPEG 6 in One, who made it was a smart guy and has a lot of stuff to play with and all kg’s included.Also is a package called BT surviving kit with also a lot of tools including VSO.To check your dvd the one you made it download VSO Inspector and scan the dvd with.check this bt site: www.bitsoup.org Good Luck and read something don’t waste the dvdr’s.
