DVD +r to DVD +RW - Help Needed!

Using DVD shrink I have been able to backup dvd’s to blank +R DVD’s. After finding out my player doesn’t work with this format(!) I have tried to copy from +R to +RW with no luck. I don’t understand this as the +r’s work fine on my pc but just won’t copy. I’ve used DVD shrink and DVD decrypter but halfway through there is always an error. Have used other copying software too. Any ideas? All help much appreciated.
