dvd burning problem

I am new to burning dvd’s and am trying to get one set for my sons grad party sun. i have windvd creator that came with the laptop - i have all the pictures in and the transitions etc all working fine. i added music and the music skips and is choppy throughout the dvd (working on test no. 6 now). i have to say i’m not much of a pc person - really a mac person, don’t hate me, but i didn’t buy my mac with a dvd burner. i changed the min/max on the paging file to 10000/20000 and this test seems to be going quicker but i don’t know if that’s going to do it. i also disabled my anti virus and my network on the computer. if anyone has any ideas that could help i’d really appreciate it.
