Burning videos to a DVD from a Digital Video Camera

I recently got a new Digital Video Camera and want to put the home videos onto DVD’s. I went out and bought an External DVD Burner Yesterday. The DVD Burner came with Nero 7. Is there a way to put the Videos onto a DVD without first putting them onto my computer? It seems when I put them on my computer the sound works perfect, but the video is very slow and doesn’t match the sound. The videos are in MOV, if this helps. I really am at wits end with this. PLEASE HELP!
