Burning videos

I’ll download videos off the net and some will work some won’t. I assume alot of it is in the user ripping the files. I use Nero and DVD Shrink for my burning. I recently downloaded a movie i want to watch and used DVD Shrink to burn it. When i load up DVD shrink i can see the video and even playing it using DVD shrink. However when i burn the DVD it doesn’t real in my DVD player, while others do. This is a rather common thing that happens, can anyone help me out on what is going on here. My model DVD player is Magnovox and I also can’t read the DVDs on my computer’s DVD player when its burned.
