burning movie - video quality

Hi,
have used wmm2 to make a personal movie. Have just burned it onto a cd, unfortunately I am a bit disappointed with the quality. There are big pixels on TV. I transferred video from my video camera to PC in DV-AVI and then saved my movie in High quality (large video). Where did I go wrong? Thanks
