I have a 25 pack of blank DVD - R disks. I want to download FLV files onto them, put my computer won’t let me. The only devices to burn DVDs I have are Windows Media Player, iTunes, and the original version of RealPlayer. Is there a way to burn the files on to the disk? Or to I have to convert the format to AVI or MPEG-4? If I do, do you have any recomended programs for it?

If you have Windows XP or Vista you should be able to burn data DVD’s, although the options you have will be very limited.
You can try this http://www.cdburnerxp.se/ (freeware) can’t vouch for it because I haven’t tried it yet (try on DVD-RW to check out how it looks if you want to test)
I suggest grabbing Nero 8 off ebay. You can get it for like 20 or 30 bucks. You can get Nero 9 for a little more, and if you’re REALLY cheap you can get Nero 7 for even less.

To make “normal DVD” (i.e., DVD-Video format), it has to be MPEG-2. FLV to MPEG-2 is not fun. Most of the low-cost software is junk, makes blocky videos.

A better method is at http://www.digital-digest.com/articles/FLV_to_AVI_Conversion_Guide_page1.html

The method can be modified some to create DVDs. You’d need to ask me for more help.
