I have published a movie using windows movie maker and burnt it to a DVD+R disc but it will not play on my DVD player.

Can anyone give advice?

Just Try DVD Creator Std, the DVD burnt from it can be played on dvd player

Maybe the DVD Player is not compatible with your DVD Disc. Reburn the video to DVD is advisable. Windows Movie Maker is not compatible with all DVD Discs, you can try this video to DVD Burner to burn your second DVD.

Two things to check:
- can the standalone DVD player read DVD+R media (as opposed to DVD-R)
- can it read WMV files (that’s the default output for Movie Maker)
you should find both of these bits of info in the manual (or google for the pdf version for your model if you don’t have the hard copy anymore).
