I will start by saying that I am using a Mac.
I have downloaded a movie from a torrent site. The movie is originally in .avi format and is of good quality. I also converted a copy of it to divx format.
Now I want to burn it to DVD to watch in my living room. I tried burning the avi file with a DVD burning program and 2 hours later when it said “SUCCESS!" I place the DVD in my player and it doesn’t read the disc.
Surely there must be a way to burn these downloaded movies to DVD.
OK, there are a few programs to do this.
By default you can use iDVD, with the Perian and/or DivX Quicktime codec installed...
You can use Toast which should do the trick, but some say doesn’t produce that good of an output and it’s slow to convert.
Other than that there’s VisualHub which some are claiming does the best job (Quick and great quality)
Unfortunately, Visualhub has been discontinued, and isn’t for sale anymore. I’d post a link, but I’m sure the type of link would get me banned.
That’s as much support as I can offer as I’m on a Windows PC.
