hi, i seem to have some trouble burning this type of file to a dvd. I’m new to the whole dvd burning thing so please help. I downloaded a movie, and when i extracted it, it was 7 mpeg files and 2 .bup (what’s that) my problem is putting this onto a dvd, because when i do using nero, it has some sort of error, and doesn’t play on the dvd player but plays on the computer.

I just had this EXACT problem last night. The reason it plays on your computer only is because a media player is playing it like Windows Media Player or what ever you have on your computer. I used my Click To DVD I have that came with my Sony computer and once I used it it worked sort of.
Now when I watch my movie I made (a football game I recorded years ago) for a while the audio goes with the video but then the audio goes ahead of the people speaking!! That’s why I just joined tonight to see if anyone knows how I can fix this, hopefully someone will help me out with this.

use nero vision express to convert the mpeg to dvd files.it’s very easy, you don’t have to anything manually but it 'll take about 2 hours to convert and burn
you must have the nero mpeg plugin installed

hi
the .buf file is backup of .ifo file.if ur movie has parts named vts_01_1.vob then u don’t have to do any thing.u just copy .bup files and name them as .ifo.now using nero or other dvd authoring tool write the dvd.(remember u have to make the compatible folders...VIDEO_TS,AUDIO_TS)
if ur files have mpeg(or mpg) extension...and are mpeg layer 1 video then u will have to decode it to mpeg 2.
mail me for further information
bye

I have 15.avis amd 1.mpg (4 i beleive) and i made a movie out of them useing nero. I then added chapters and tryed to burn it to a dvd. When it was burning it glitched displayed an error code and wreaked my dvd. WHat the hell is going on!
