i have tried this codec business.My son is in Cuba and we cant communicate that is voic chat. Both of us have skype,googletalk, yahoo mess with voice 7.5, and msn. may be there is a net work firewall blocking it. We tried different proxies and port. still the same. I would be immensely greatful for any workable suggestions. cant afford regular phonebills which at times cant even get connected by land line.

When i go to Yahoo! Messenger chat rooms, an error pops up saying:
“This computer does not support the required uncompressed audio format”
then another pops up afterwards saying:
“The computer audio mixer could
not be initialized."
My computer is the same. I do have the lastest
