Hi, I can confirm that changing the file extention to .3gp returned the audio to my video.

The downside is that it will only play that audio in Quicktime Player. From my research I would say that there is no way to get Windows Media or VLC player to play this properly.

Therefore,

Change file extention to .3gp
Open with Quick time.

Hope that helps! reply

Don’t understand this. VLC doesn’t work. Change extension didn’t work but now suddenly Windows Media Player works! reply

Renaming the file from .mp4 to .3gp works for me - I hear audio. My particular ".mp4” file was created from Windows Mobile 6.1 on an AT&T Pure. reply

Yes. In fact, to fix the file, upload it to YouTube. Once YouTube converts it, then download it in mp4 format (I use the Video DownloadHelper add-on for Firefox) and the sound is fixed (at least this works for the videos created with my Samsung Comeback Mobile Phone).

Yes and it will also play the .3gp files with sound! Make sure you download the right version: the 1.1.2 is the newest.

Or just click the “check for updates” button in the help-menu. reply
